Army Officer Evaluation Report (OER) - Advice for company commanders

As an officer, your job is to manage your career. Part of managing your career is to manage your Officer Evaluation Report (OER).

You will receive an OER of a number of reasons including: annual report, the change of rater, promotion, complete datasets, etc. Since OER will receive a great impact your eligibility for promotion, it must be proactively process OER.

Here are some simple tips that worked well for me so far in myCareer.

Records of your performance all year, you should keep a record of your achievements. You can do this, weekly, monthly or quarterly. Your goal is to record your successes, so you can input the OER support form at a later date.

Design for a full module support OER: If there is time, the OER support form is ready, check your notes with information on subsidies. If possible, use numbers. Includes rates of readiness, soldierPromotions, expansions and other quantifiable benefits. Such statements are much better success generic style.

A first draft of your OER Consultant: If you really want to position themselves for success, you can prepare an OER for the purpose of your manager. Tell them you have them save time (which is). Let me make any changes or corrections. Appreciate the time you saved, and probably very little will change.

Your opinionOER error: Before signing the final OER write them well. Find typos and misspellings.

Talk to your manager about discrepancies: if something is wrong or unjustified, talk to your comment on the assessment is correct before signing the final copy.

In summary, your job is to manage his career as an officer. One way to do it is actively in the process of OER.

How to Finance Your College Education Through the Military

The military is a great way to finance your education and acquire skills that you can apply in so many jobs. There are numerous ways the military can fund your college education. You can attend a military college, the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), or participate in the military's Credit and Tuition Support Services.

Military Colleges

Graduating from a Military College is perfect for people who want to enter the armed forces at an officer level or for people already in the military who would like to learn a specific skill for use in their career. The armed forces have partnerships with many non-military colleges and universities that allow people to earn degrees and skills in a certain area that will be recognized by the military, but attending a military college may give you a slight edge above the competition. Military colleges are very highly respected and teach more than just academics. Military colleges are proud of their training in character. Many strongly encourage students to learn duty, honor, morality and discipline; all of which are cornerstones of the foundation the military is built upon.

Reserve Officer Training Corps

The ROTC is offered in all branches of the military; the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. Through this program the military provides four, three, tow and even one year scholarships that includes tuition, books, fees, and a monthly stipend. The ROTC is partnered with more than a thousand colleges and universities. Students in the ROTC take are full time students that are also required to take additional courses in military science. They also wear uniforms once a week and engage in drills and other training.

Tuition Support Programs

There are four tuition support programs offered by the military; Tuition Assistance, the Montgomery G.I. Bill, College Fund Programs, and Loan Repayment Programs. The Tuition Assistance Program is offered to full-time duty members in the military. Each student can receive up to $250 per credit hour taken each semester or a maximum of $4,500 each year. The Montgomery G.I. Bill provides $36,000 to pay for tuition in return for a commitment to serve full-time duty. The College Fund Program is offered to enlistees after a honorable discharge. Loan Repayment Programs Vary depending on what branch of the military service you are serving in, but all include having their student loan be repaid by the military.

Credit Programs

There are three credit programs to choose from; Military School Credits, Service-member Opportunity Colleges (SOC), and Credits Earned Through Testing. With Military School Credits members of the military can earn college credit while being trained in their chosen area of the military. This costs the student nothing and only needs to be approved by one of the 300 schools that works with the military. Service-member Opportunity Colleges is a group of over 1,7000 colleges and universities that have agreed to transfer credits between them for members of the military and their families so that they can continue studying even if they are moved to a different location. Credits earned through testing is another option for earning a college degree. Local Base Education Centers offer CLEP examinations, DSST subject series, or Regents examinations. If the test is passed then credits are awarded.

Self Defense - An Art to Be Learned

Self defense is an art of defending oneself from physical harm. It may be considered as a force used in times of danger. An act of self defense may be of two types, unarmed and armed.

The act of defending using body parts is considered as unarmed self defense. This includes various arts of fighting. One of the major self defense techniques is Martial Arts. The individual is subjected to stress and the proper use of gross motor skills is taught to control the stress level and react accordingly. Nowadays, many Martial Art training schools follow the same technique to teach people of all age group the art self defense.

Another type of self defense is an armed self defense wherein the individual is allowed to carry weapons and use them appropriately under self defense situation. Some countries have legalized the use of weapons like knives, firearms, batons for the sake of self defense, whereas some countries issue license for the use of the same. Weapons may be categorized under lethal and non-lethal weapons. Lethal weapons may sometimes be fatal for the users too and hence non-lethal weapons are considered more for self defense. These include pepper spray and stun guns. Pepper spray contains irritating chemicals that can be sprayed directly onto the opponent's eyes and this may give time for the individual to react. The stun gun however produces electric shock and so it must be in contact with the opponent.

Self defense may be engaged to defend one's own life or the lives of others in times of violence. It a spontaneous activity and is encountered only when the individual is subjected to stress. The unarmed self defense techniques are the most commonly used act during these situation as people do not have rights to use weapons. People who do not learn the art of self defending improvise their own ways to defend themselves from their opponents. In this situation they use everyday objects like heavy objects and knives for their safety, or else they try to use the body force to overcome their opponent in times of fight.

Self defense may be considered as an art which people either learn or improvise to defend themselves from certain situations which they encounter in their day to day life. Self defense whether armed or unarmed is legal only if it is used for the right reason and if it could be justified.

Pain Relief and Healing - Good and Evil in Earth and in Spirit

This does not really concern you, so please, do not read it! You, most likely, lack the aptitude for it.

Mr. John. D. Barnes PT in his book HEALING ANCIENT WOUNDS mentions the ancient warrior (sort of god of wisdom that accompanies him in thought and deed; intuition he also calls it) that guides him in wisdom and understanding. Personally, I cannot harmonize with any kind of warrior, spiritual, mental or physical. When you hear of, or experience violence, war or betrayal you are in the wrong reality. Judaism and Christendom, other religions, and political systems have their hero warriors--US government, Lincoln, Lenin, Gandhi, or a Lord of Hosts that people revere and worship. If this is the case for you, you chose the wrong god and the wrong reality, and you have the wrong stance in eternal existence.

However, John's is a book of wisdom far surpassing any system of wisdom I learned from any occult, religious and secular sources. I recommend it as precursor to the book The Truth About Reality by Anti Christ, the book that surpasses all standards of honesty, courage and wisdom. Mr. Barnes is a physical therapist and he developed this unique way to relief stress and pain in the body. He even preformed his skill on horses.

In Mr. Barnes' book, Healing Ancient Wounds, pages 56 and 57, he reports scientific findings that each cell has a tubular microskeleton filled with fluid. These tubes interconnect from cell to cell so this tubular skeleton reaches throughout all regions of the creature body. This inter-cellular system is called fascia. The incredible news is that they are piezo-electrically charged and electrically modulated under varying pressures within the body causing photons that are the means of transmitting information throughout the body to local information processing centers (nerve endings?). Photons are particles of light. Cellular regions under abnormally high pressure due to trauma or stress report pressures as light signals to these centers as pain. Mr. Barnes' myofascial release therapy is designed to depressurize the high stress areas to rehydrate the cellular tissue in areas that causes the tubes to elongate and causes depressurization that relieves pain and stabilizes these high stress areas within the cellular structure.

He does so using light pressures of the hands by twisting and pulling and pushing lightly on predetermined areas of this fascial intra-body tubular structure. My point in bringing this up relates to what Jesus talked about in Matthew 6, verses 22 and 23, "The eyes are like a lamp for the body. If your eyes are sound, your whole body will be full of light; but if your eyes are no good, your whole body will be in darkness. So, if your body is in darkness, how terribly dark it will be." This must refer to the whole body being under enormous pressure which pressure freezes and solidifies the fluid in the tubelets so that piezo-electrical action, and thus consciousness is impeded in the body. Jesus must, of course, speak of another application in the body using this piezo-electrical principle, but It must be clear that Jesus knew about the fascial-skeletal system that produces light as a medium to transmit consciousness/information in the body.

Jesus taught us to be like little babes, helpless, needy, eager to love and learn so that he can teach us what deep-down we as souls already know but are ashamed to again bring into our awareness-simply that our true god is true and loving, giving us all the liberty, maturity and range of action we can responsibly handle if we can attain to enter his kingdom where our beingness and actions do really count. That kingdom is not located in this universe or anywhere else in negative spirit. He taught us what we need to know and he gave us the comforter who, when we expire this time around, will announce himself at the transfer station in negative spirit carrying a big sign with your name printed on it, and when you check in with him, he will guide you into positive spirit, the house and home of the true god.

There is another instance Jesus is related to light. He went up a mountain with some of his favorite apostles and there in front of them Jesus transfigured himself into an image of light. Yes, Jesus knew all about photons and how they are supposed to work correctly in the body. This was the manner in which he healed the sick, the lame and the blind.

John Barnes' book is essentially concerned with the conflicts and fears a person has with the paradigm of universal existence that is enforced on us by the environment, and false authorities in government, and medical institutions. He found his remedies to be effective in correcting conflicts that manifest in the body in chaotic contractions and confusions in the tissues, ligaments, organs and bones of the human body and that surface into consciousness as disease, pains, stiffness, soreness, etc.

A paradigm is a model of reality, or a fraction of our reality based on false assumptions which falsehoods go totally unnoticed over lengths, and sometimes, eons of time and that forcefully lock us into mutually shared and agreed on aspect of our adopted scheme of reality and that are enforced on us by malicious entities in spirit, and in our physical aspect of being through natural law, human made law, traditions, the media, public opinion, religious and social taboos, etc. The danger in deviating from the paradigm is so great that such deviations can lead to perfect isolation, ostracization, ridicule, imprisonment, serious injury, disease, sorrows, pains and death.

By the above definition of paradigm, physical existence and the entire universal experience is a false, spiritually induced experience of horror­­-of true hell. Creature existence is a dramatization of a spiritually induced paradigm; a dream forced on all souls according to the same basic script that one must play over and over for as long as soul believes in the unaltered paradigm that has no point of contact with souls' innate reality. Reality is all-pervasive awareness of being in true spirit. True reality is what it is, but existence in a false belief system only appears to be what it is to those held in its trance; and because we react to the appearances as if they are true experiences we are insane according to the origins of our true reality of being. Souls believing in a false kind of reality are in a mental, spiritual force field that entraps their nature of observance into the delusion. Such souls are absent and dead to reality.

False locally pervasive beliefs operate according to some shared paradigm; a paradigm induced through insistent, persistent and forcefully applied propaganda and enforcement. Thus, creature existence is a prolonged, uninterrupted flow of suppression in an environment of ongoing indoctrination and propaganda from which we cannot extract ourselves without outside (spiritual) help.

The human experience is like the environment in which deep sea fish exist. The environment of water, the surface and sea bottom surround them, engulf them, shape their form, their range of motions, specifies their diet and the range of their thoughts and awareness. One of the enforcements of the fish paradigm imbued in souls is that of 'catch and consume others', and 'be caught and be eaten by others'­-these determine a fish's soul's whole reason for being.

The souls in fish definitely exist in a special paradigm of false reality imposed on them by evil spirit. If you can grasp this sort of environmental propaganda that enshrouds the awareness of the souls of fish, you can now interpolate that understanding to our human physical experience. There is more to the environment than what fish experience; and there is even much more to the total environment than what humans can come in contact with.

Once a set of souls accept a paradigm of deceit, evil spirits and the souls captured into the system of deceit can now define an unlimited set of paradigms on each other, that culminate into our present world view of understanding, armed offense and defense, and shifting and 'fitting in' socially, politically and tyrannically.

Once we abandon truth, and enter the realms of fiction based on deceit, there is no limit to the amount of paradigms possible. This universe of unlimited paradigms is the reason souls are lost and remain lost to the realm of true reality. The source of our limitation to experience total awareness lies in having adopted a false sense of reality by believing a reality based on a scheme of propaganda that shuts us out from true reality. We, as souls, are lost in our false belief systems.

For fish this false sense of reality locks them into a seeming environment of water, for humans into a seemingly earthbound reality and for, say a cormorant, into a seeming airborne, amphibious, and submarine sort of reality. Each of these forms of paradigm enclosing a form of reality will be deadly when the rules of the basic parameters of the paradigms are violated. It is insane and deadly to jump, unaided, off a 50 story building, against the rule of gravitational pull of the enforcing paradigm, for it will surely lead to the death of the human doing so, although it will not lead to the permanent death of soul. Soul merely believed that its virtual body died. Now it has to adopt the same or another paradigm; and this new paradigm is selected or appointed to soul from a selection brought to us by various spiritual campaigners; just like a voter must select from a selection of campaigning candidates for some office, each giving their pitches for your soul to fall for. As it is here below, so it is above in negative spirit! Negative spirit, of course, is the spirit deceit,--a dream or superstition we believe to be real.

We can now see that in a spiritual setting our physical death is absolutely mandatory. The reason for this is that as long as we are entirely engulfed in the reality of our adopted paradigm we are utterly unable to escape the force of the paradigm that locks us into being physical human beings. However, when we die physically we, as souls, are set free from the paradigm of the false set of belief systems that locked us into believing entirely in the physical environment. We are free to make a new choice; however we are not, necessarily, set free from the original lie believed. Upon death souls are set free from the lock of the paradigm and again face the parameters of the lie believed. At this state soul has a choice.

Those who as humans were able to understand Jesus' true spiritual teaching correctly will choose truth; all others, by default of believing the spiritual lie, only have a choice between several kinds of paradigms. Thus, without experiencing physical death, escape from the realms of negative spirit is absolutely impossible. During the state that humans refer as being dead, the soul is set free from the effects of the paradigm that enforced human life on it. For almost all souls 'death' is a process in spirit that determines one's next form of physical incarnation.

Peter saw Jesus walking on water. Peter asked Jesus to allow him to come to him, walking on the water. Jesus said, "Come". Peter believed Jesus so strongly that his desire to walk on water negated the enforced belief system that a human being cannot walk on water; but when he looked away from Jesus and saw the danger of his situation through human eyes by looking at the wind and the waves surrounding him, he immediately lost his faith in Jesus and was again locked into the paradigm that dictated to him that he must sink when elevated higher above the water than is normal for living human beings. He immediately sank.

Jesus was trying to make Peter aware that his outlook on being a physical human prevented him from understanding that Peter in soul was spirit and as spirit has no limits set to his range of being and acting. Peter was, altogether, too enamored with the sensational value of being able to walk on water as a mere human. Peter's mind was not concerned at all with his innate soul existence. Sensationalism of any kind pursued in gusto entraps us into this hell.

Let me give another couple of examples to enlighten you on the seriousness of the concepts I am teaching you. Jesus' marvelous parable of the Good Samaritan is a teaching of pure evil as seen from true reality--souls' innate reality in truth. As seen from a universal, and thus Jehovah's point of view, this parable adheres to the highest standards of ethics, duty, morals and empathy. One could not reach higher. This parable is constructed on the rules of Jehovah in his attempt to make physical reality the highest reality for souls captured in his schemes of spiritual lies. It is his attempt to overrule the true god of souls, the spirit in Jesus. Jesus promised to uphold Jehovah as god over the univere in exchange for the spirit in Jesus to be present on earth.

Jesus had two purposes for the parable of the Good Samaritan. He wants to teach us according to Jehovah's rule because the spirit in Jesus cannot ever ignore a promise or tell a lie. (I am talking about the spirit in Jesus, not Jesus' soul, because Jesus never believed a lie, so he has no soul. Soul is a designation for a cell in spirit that believed a lie and was dissociated from the dying entities called Adam and Woman. The deadness of Woman was indicated by her new name Eve, mother of all human beings; a class of souls that outcast itself from the realm of their original true reality.)

Jesus could not go back on his promise to Jehovah or he would be a liar and betrayer of a confidence that Jehovah had in the spirit in Jesus. His other reason was to help save those who could not relinquish the paradigm of Jehovah's enforced lie and thus faced to be thrown into the inescapable reaches of hell. By teaching this parable souls that put their highest ambition and trust in the standards set in this parable would be accepted, or as it is also said, born again into the heaven designated by Jehovah (but this heaven is still a place locked into the paradigm of Jehovah's system of deceit. We must realize that we only and ever exist as entities in spirit--not as physical beings. The physical environment is merely dreamed by comatose souls (or experienced in some state of hypnotic trance).

By telling this parable, and many more he told, Jesus taught us concepts of pure evil as seen from his viewpoint in true spirit. He could do no other thing in order to retain his place as true spirit because of his promise to Jehovah that he would continue to uphold Jehovah as god over the universe. The parable signifies and attempts to explain the highest good and truth possible in a system of evil, a system of belief based on a spiritual lie.

In order to exist as human beings in a state of knowing and understanding truth, (the true god) we cannot have any value or anchor left in the paradigm of universal life and awareness. We cannot promote worldly accepted norms of good and evil. We must abstain from promoting, teaching and practicing all aspects of good and evil as understood from a human or creature point of view. We can do worldly good, but we must do so from a completely emotionless and disinterested point of view as Jesus also did. This is so because all we know and hold dear as humans is tainted by the spiritual lie we believed as soul in spirit.

Let me next give the paradigm of a thoroughly trained, domesticated animal, a dog for instance. A captured dog or one born in captivity is forcefully taught to obey certain specific rules of behavior upon penalty of punishment and deprivement. It is not an attitude adopted through love but through a relationship of one-up-ism, as I call it. One-up-ism is the basic principle of premeditated evil intent and execution; and is thus evil personified. So, pet owners and owners of domesticated farm animals, you should know you practice evil as seen from a viewpoint in true spirit. Jesus said that casting one's eye covetously on a neighbor's spouse is a state of already having sinned. The intent and desire alone signifies a sin because this neighbor cannot trust that person as neighbor because he/she is insincere in its morals and ethics. The whole world spins on this attitude present in all human beings. Everything and everybody is up for sale and up for betrayal. That is the precise reason that the universe is hell.

Jesus came, unknown to all of us, as an ambassador to reacquaint us with his true father in true reality, the origin of all truth beyond the confines of the paradigms that engulf all physical creatures and the spirits enforcing the universal paradigm on us all. In paradise the spirit in Jesus looked right through the covetous intensions of the serpent, and informed Adam and Woman, who were ignorant of the serpent's evil intent, that the serpent intended to kidnap/kill' them through clever rhetoric. In paradise, there was nothing more the spirit in Jesus' could do. God could warn but not force Adam and Woman into obedience to his advice of danger.

Another such example is from a movie I recently saw about brutal insurrection and terrorism in Sierra Leona, Africa. A million people had already died at the hands of terrorists, whose average age could not be more than thirteen. These kids were indoctrinated by having their parents killed by kids assembled into lose units equipped with the latest models of automatic weapons. Some of the boys in such raided villages were captured. The weapons were obtained in smuggle trade of diamonds in exchange of weapons which diamonds were collected by the insurgents by employing captured people during their raids into hamlets. Any slave found concealing a chip of diamond was summarily shot.

The captured children were starved and physically abused while tied and blind folded. After a period of such mistreatment each was given an automatic weapon with the order to shoot a person indicated. Every child followed the orders given and soon one saw these children loaded in trucks with their own brand new weapons; and let lose in another village or hamlet with orders to shoot anything that moved. These children were actually looking forward to the coming killing spree and were jubilant in the trucks and laughed while knocking off any human creature in sight. They were instantly transformed into obedient killing machines.

These up-to-now mostly very decent children were suddenly imbued with the paradigm of survival through military obedience, just as it is imbued by all armed forces in the world on new recruits who come into the armed forced under force of power or by their own inclinations to express and enforce de-facto power and authority. That is how easy it is to indoctrinate a new paradigm of beliefs on a set of captured and abused creatures.

Can you now begin to perceive that any form of coercion or power to intimidate, indoctrinate, deceive and betray is evil, and that the entire expression of the universe represents one single idea, the outworking of evil thought through betrayal of trust and decency. Christianity, the Muslim religion, capitalism, communism and any other religions and isms were established and became prominent paradigms through exactly these same methods. Now, these systems of culture, political reign and religion, can exist peacefully because every child, from birth on, is imbued through traditions, schooling and discipline reverence for these divergent cultures of evil, while deviation from the religious and/or political doctrines are enforced through organized temple, religious and local government law enforcement agencies.

I am praying to you, and for you, to understand these principles and again seek souls' native truth where one is free indeed because there is no enforcement of true reality--one is either part of it or one does not exist in it. Being back there again comes naturally, and exactly because we were exposed to true evil we will never again embrace any fancy ideas of evil, not even if we were to receive these ideas from our own true god and father in true reality. Once you understand you know forever.

That is the true purpose of the deceit we believed in spirit--to become like the absolute true god and thus to be a child of god. As you can see from the above discussion, realigning oneself with true reality, as secretly advocated by Jesus, will set dozens of de-facto enforcement systems in action, spiritual, religious, political, clan, and familial, against you. That is exactly the reason that very few can be born again in true reality. I fervently hope you will be one of these truly courageous souls.

Here is the essence of soul. Souls are spiritual cells that disbelieved the truth of original reality and are thus excluded from awareness in their true native reality. They are comatose to reality, even though their soul entity still exists in that reality. Soul believed a lie and now seeks existence according to the lie believed. Problem is that a lie believed allows soul only to inhabit a virtual sort of reality--fiction based on the lie believed. In the manner of a paradigm believed, soul accepts existence in the universal physical reality as a particular race of human being. I believe and truly know that race to be white Caucasian. But that is not an essential point. Let's assume it can be any of the human races, which ever one we do not know. Now, assume that in this particular paradigm of human existence soul begins to disagree with the accepted paradigm of that human race and/or accepted the paradigm of a race below it, it will then not be allowed to enter the race from which it just died as physical creature because it does not agree with the tenets of that paradigm.

Now, this particular soul is barred not only from true reality but also from the race it just died from because it cannot believe in either mode of being. Now, just below the deceiving daemon that led the soul from true reality, say his name is Allah or Jehovah or Yahweh, there exists another daemon in the daemonic hierarchy that is the adversary of this daemon Yahweh, that convinced the soul to accept its version of virtual reality; and this newly accepted reality is that of another human race. This soul is born, exists, dies and reincarnates into this human race until, for some reason, it falls in disagreement with its racial paradigm or is seduced away from this paradigm by another daemon. This new situation forces soul from the rung in the ladder of human races into its next lower rung of human race, which race has its own daemon in charge of the paradigm.

Let's define a daemon as a spirit that lures souls into paradigms of virtual reality ever farther away from the soul's native truth of being. In this manner soul continues to degenerate in thought and belief systems further down the rungs of the ladder, in which each rung is controlled by a particular daemon and from which place a fallen soul is incapable of being reaccepted by the daemon in charge of the higher placed race from which it fell. The danger of continuously accepting lower forms of paradigms is that soul eventually falls into a paradigm of pure animal nature because it simply has no other choice but to seek a paradigm lower from which it just fell.

Once soul enters the paradigms delineating the region of pure animal nature it is totally incapable of ever understanding the principles of its true native spiritual reality. It is then permanently trapped in the snares of spiritual deceit and cannot ever comprehend and know the truth of its spiritual condition. It now exists in permanent perdition. From this place it is continually lured further down the rungs of the ladder of the spiritual daemonic hierarchy. It falls through all the species and varieties of animal existence into that of plants and finally organic substances, inorganic substances and finally disappears as it has squandered all its potential of truth within it so that it is spiritually dead and is no more.

The very serious problem with soul's acceptance of a spiritual paradigm is that soul accepted the proposition but when the soul projects the physical form, the physical form which is, for physical experiences, under the control of its physical brain; a brain that does not know anything about the spiritual contract underlying the physical form. The creature projected by this soul can only associate itself with its physical person and the physical, emotional, religious and mental indoctrination and environment it finds itself in on earth. There is a complete bar of communion from the physical to the spiritual.

As humans we are ignorant of our spiritual existence. For most souls this is an utterly devastating situation because Jesus proved that soul must be reawakened about the truth of its nature through education of the virtual physical beingness it accepted, because Jesus as spirit is utterly incapable of reaching the spiritually comatose soul. The unbelievers in Jesus' true spiritual nature are thus utterly shut out from spiritual redemption. It is thus the stupidity of the physical being that prevents soul from being redeemed into its true status of free, responsible spirit.

Please consider your soul's situation and become wise in spirit, not in religious, civic, physical and political frame of understanding. Therefore a soul's only chance to be redeemed into true spirit is after the expiration of the physical body. The memory and understanding of its last physical life is present in soul, and soul stripped of its physical projection can now properly evaluate the knowledge it retained of the spiritual truth it received through the physical person it projected; and this time the soul will make the correct choice to return to true spirit.

Children, because they are dependent on parental role models and indoctrination, often mimic parental habits, tastes, judgments, idiosyncrasies, cleanliness, thoroughness, gate of walking, body carriage, religious preference, and such that remain with them as their particular stance in life. It is part of the familial paradigm of being. They are locked in this stance and irrationally will hold to these patterns of behavior even when they understand that it comes from their parents. They refuse change.

I, therefore, often tell people close to me to always alter their walk, talk, and many other ingrained motions and trains of thought by doing whatever seems strange, queer and silly to them when they are not observed by others. By setting themselves free, even temporarily, from their self-imposed bondage of behavioral patterns and thought and belief patterns (their psychic grove of being) by walking like an invalid, or any other crazy manner, they begin to free themselves from subconscious self imprisonment and become aware of other self imposed, non-rational schemes of behavior, thought, judgment, etc.

One's individual idiosyncrasies are mostly patterned after reactions of fear, subservience, and tolerated behavior and patterns of social interaction indoctrinated into us by threatening entities of authority. One's personal stance to life, then, is a pattern of one's individual cowardice, which pattern we embellish with phony frills and tricks to arrive at a personality that is socially accepted, and often sought out. The whole panorama of one's individuality is one that shows that the environment is too threatening an edifice to approach openly, so that our adopted personal harness of personality allows us to come into social contact with a wide range of people and authorities. Our social personality thus is a mask that hides our true, open self, which we dare not introduce out of fears coming from one's childhood experiences and from successful reactions to threads.

Creatures are thus automated machines, warriors, if you like, of defense and offense, which offensive pattern is a mere bully-kind-of-defense to intimidate those who might come against the person in an offensive manner. Personal preferences expressed such as, "I do not like this or that"; "I am allergic to this or that"; "I cannot eat this or that", are all part of our personality complex and are incorporated out of reactions of fear, impositions of importance, etc., all aimed to preserve our social, emotional, and physical integrity. One might say these ailments are psychosomatic. I often express that I have no allergies except the allergy of "empty wallet". It will give me all the symptoms of even the worst allergy. All the aspects of our personality, then, are based on the real fear of sudden attack or thread from an unsuspected direction or source. In other words physical life sucks you dry, and then you die-Life is hell!

As my summary paragraph I'd say that John F. Barnes compares to the Christ in negative spirit because he definitely has hands-on powers of healing. He relieves pain, hurts and ailments as did Jesus. It cannot be much disputed; and if you have chronic pains from injuries, or whatever, I strongly suggest you get in touch with his organization. On the other hand, the author of 'The Truth About Reality' is the counterpart in the positive spiritual beingness in Jesus. Jesus stated that his authority reaches above and beyond all authority. His authority thus reaches into the deepest regions of hell. What the Christ does in negative spirit, the true spiritual antichrist does in positive spirit.

Warsaw Journal - A Young Man Fights the Good Fight

Andrzej (pronounced ahn-zjay) was not movie star handsome. He would be the first to admit that in the wry, self deprecating way he always talked. But if you looked behind his glasses into his bright, shining eyes, you saw a burning curiosity about life that refused to be quenched.

He was fascinated by all things military. When we first met, he bombarded me with questions about aircraft I had flown and in return, described in minute detail every aircraft, helicopter, tank and artillery piece in the Polish Armed Forces -- all in halting, but precise technical English. He was literally a walking edition of the Janes series of military weaponry.

Andrzej was admitted to the University of Warsaw, but when school started last September, he was not there. Instead, he was in a hospital waiting for a life or death decision by someone he had never met. You see, he was suffering from an immune system disorder that had plagued him since childhood. In layman's terms, he was susceptible to every disease and every virus that came his way. To add to his troubles, he had contracted hepatitis, and the doctors told him he wouldn't live much longer without a new liver. That meant a transplant from someone who is deceased.

I suspect the system for managing organ donors in Poland is no better, nor any worse, than other developed countries. It is monitored by the government and usually lumbers along, getting things done slowly, but surely. But timing is everything in life, and just as Andrzej joined the donors list, something happened -- something complicated and very political -- and the system ground to a halt. No one knew when donors would appear again. Meanwhile, Andrzej waited, uncertain of his future.

August 15 is armed forces day in Poland. The Poles call it "The Celebration of the Miracle on the Vistula" -- a day in the early 1920s when Marshal Pilsudski with a vastly outnumbered force drove the Soviet Army away from the river and subsequently back into Russia, thus securing Poland's borders. Each year there is a parade in downtown Warsaw replete with troops, military equipment, and a flyby of aircraft and helicopters. Andrzej was home for a rare day away from the hospital and asked me to take him to see it. But when the time came to leave, he was too weak to go. Instead, we watched it on TV at home.

It was bittersweet afternoon. As we watched the parade, Andrzej provided a running commentary, while I sat clutching a piece of paper he had written providing the names of everything we were seeing -- all in English, of course. Sometime after a flyover of MIG 29s and F-16s, I made him an honorary fighter pilot. It was all I could think of to do. When the parade was over, Andrzej began to weaken and his fever rose. His mother took him back to the hospital shortly thereafter.

All this happened over a year ago. Since then, another Armed Forces Day parade has come and gone. But Andrzej was not there to see it; because after a long and agonizing wait for the liver he so desperately needed, he died from complications of the transplant surgery. The burning curiosity about life that refused to be quenched was dimmed forever.

I do not know why God allows some people to live and condemns others to die. What I do know, is that Andrzej was my friend -- and I miss him very much.

Making the Most Out of ASVAB Practice Questions

The ASVAB test establishes what jobs are suitable for applicants to the armed forces. To maximize your scores and success in a military career, you will need to do your best on this exam. An important aspect of this is using ASVAB practice questions to your advantage.

Four sections of the test are used to determine your aptitudes and how they apply to military jobs: Arts and Shop, General Science, Mechanical Comprehension and Electronics Information. The remaining sections help judge whether you qualify to serve in the military (and count toward your AFQT score): Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension and Word Knowledge.

Your current school is a good place to start, since counselors know you and the ASVAB test. They can help you locate areas that you need to improve on. Most offices also have additional preparation resources for the test.

A quick Internet search can also conjure up extra resources. You will have to register for some sites, while others are free of charge. With these sources, you can study for the exam without external help. Check the branch of the military you are interested in. They may also have a practice test.

When you go through these sessions, don't forget that the test is an evaluation of everything you have learned in and out of school. You cannot force all that information into your head overnight. Instead, spend more time on the areas less familiar to you. Then, go over the questions as many times as possible until you comprehend the basic rules behind them. Understanding the basics of the areas you are weakest in is especially important if you are pressed for time.

The average time to answer a question is thirty to forty seconds, so you will need to be fast. If the time runs out, you will be doubly hurt since many easy questions will have gone unanswered. If you cannot answer fast, your weak points will overshadow your strengths.

To make the ASVAB practice questions work for you, follow a simple routine. First, take one practice test and see how your score turns out. Then, go problem by problem, figuring out what errors you are making on a consistent basis. Go through these and then take another practice test online or from a book. See how your new score measures up. It should be better. If not, try again until you get the result you need.

Managing Conflict --I'm All Wet and Can't Seem to Get Dried Out!

Like the weather, conflict can be anything from a minor squall to a turbulent storm packing hurricane force winds. Quite often conflict storms come up unexpectedly and we are not prepared with an U-M-B-R-E-L-L-A (See Dealing With Difficult People--Go Ahead, Rain On My Parade). Here are some additional tips to handle unanticipated and surprising conflict tempests that are not part of typical interpersonal relationship weather patterns.

Before The Storm

Batten down the hatches to keep from drowning in stormy relationship seas. Many common expressions have nautical origins. The expression "batten down the hatches" is no exception. In times past, when a severe storm approached, British sailors would cover the "hatches" or openings in the deck of a ship with tarpaulins and secure them with "battens" to keep water from flooding the ship. These pieces of strong wood would fit against the raised rims of the hatchways and pin the tarpaulins down drum tight.

To "batten down the hatches" on stormy relationship seas:

Take action before the storm approaches by proactively developing, nurturing and enhancing the variety of your interactions with others.

Consider utilizing the following "battens": constancy, dependability, loyalty, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Deploy your Doppler radar. Doppler radar is a key weather forecasting tool that can detect approaching storms before they develop into full force hurricanes, tornados or severe thunderstorms. It shows pictures of wind motions in storms which allow scientists and weather forecasters to predict a storm's arrival and intensity.

To deploy your Doppler radar:

Be alert to early warning signals and hidden clues that a conflict storm is brewing.

Don't ignore these signals--even the minor ones.

If you see a conflict storm brewing and you don't know where it is coming from, take time to figure out what has caused it to develop.

When the Storm Hits

Assess and evaluate. Determine if it is a conflict squall which starts out with big gusts of wind and heavy rain, then fizzles out at a moment's notice; or is it a category five hurricane which can linger for hours or days and cause irreparable damage. Evaluate your role in the conflict.

How have you contributed to the conflict?

What actions have you taken in the past or what things have you left undone which have given rise to the conflict?

Seek shelter...Quickly! It can get rough out there--especially if you do not see a conflict storm coming! If it is the conflict storm of the century, don't react; instead control your impulses and force your mind and body to relax and be at peace.

If you are in the midst of an in-your-face confrontation, take a break and remove yourself physically until calmer emotions prevail.

When discussion resumes, practice actively listening to the other party and demonstrating empathy (putting yourself in his/her shoes).

If you are unable to resolve the conflict, consider engaging a neutral third party to help you uncover the issues and develop solutions.

After The Storm

Survey the damage. Review and inspect the conflict storm's toll and impact. Consider the following:

Has the relationship changed in any way; is it better or worse?

Were your issues, position, and interests addressed?

Did you achieve a mutually acceptable resolution?

Execute disaster recovery and cleanup. To survive, thrive and emerge from the conflict stronger than ever, you must adjust your attitude.

Restore. Find ways to restore peace and harmony in the relationship. Deal with any unresolved anger, loss or depression.

Reconcile. Ask for forgiveness and willingly offer it.

Rebuild. Pick up the relationship pieces and patch up any breaches that may have occurred. To minimize the reoccurrence of conflict disasters, actively seek to build a stronger relationship than you had before.

So if you don't like conflict thunderstorms or have been in one for a long time, stay warm and dry by battening down interpersonal relationship hatches, deploying your conflict Dopplar radar, seeking shelter quickly, and executing recovery efforts in the event of a conflict disaster.

A Quick Overview of the US Armed Forces

The United States divides its military forces into five services. The Army is the largest and is intended to be the primary ground combat force. The Navy is in charge of operations at sea and includes a powerful air component. The Air Force is the youngest service and is in charge of aerial operations. The Marines are primarily intended to deploy combined arms forces in response to crises around the world. Finally the Coast Guard is the smallest of the armed forces and is primarily charged with homeland defense.

Reserve units and personnel join the active duty forces, both federal and National Guard units for the Army and Air Force. These have state and federal missions.

Within this framework there are several chains of command and responsibility. The President is the commander in chief of the Armed Forces. The Secretary of Defense oversees the Department of Defense and provides guidance. The military departments of the DoD train and equip the force. The Joint Chiefs of Staff provide the president with professional advice and provide a means for the services to coordinate their actions. They plan and coordinate. There are also regional commands, which conduct operations.

Probably the most famous of the regional commands is CENTCOM. This is the Central command, which conducts operations in the MidEast, most famously the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. EUCOM controls operations in Europe, much of the territory of the old Soviet Union and Africa. AFRICOM is being formed and will take over operations in Africa. PACOM is in charge of operations in Asia and the Pacific Ocean. SOUTHCOM deals with operations in Latin America, and NORTHCOM deals with operations in North America. There are also four more commands with worldwide responsibility. SOCOM is in charge of special operations, JFCOM provides joint support for worldwide operations, STRATCOM controls the strategic weapons and space operations, and TRANSCOM controls transportation around the world.

Currently the biggest deployment is in Iraq with approximately 130,000 servicemen, but in terms of manpower, the greatest force is in the continental US with 900,000. This is followed by Iraq, then Germany with about 70,000, Japan with just under 50,000, Korea with just over 30,000 and Afghanistan with less than 30,000. Italy and the United Kingdom have just over 10,000 each. There are another 100,000 at sea. In 2003 the US had forces present in 130 nations on bases or military facilities. There are still around 2,000 troops deployed to Bosnia and Kosovo.

US military forces have been present in German, Japan and Korea since the end of WWII. Many older deployments have ended with the end of the Cold War, including the Panama Canal Zone and bases in the Philippines. Guantanamo Bay is one of the oldest, dating back to the end of the Spanish American War in 1898.

There are about 1.4 million active duty personnel in the US Armed Forces, and plans are to increase that number by another 90,000. There are another million in the reserve components.
